Mark Mazzoleni

 

Mazzoleni is a native of Green Bay where he starred for Green Bay Premontre High School as a goaltender. He played collegiate hockey at Michigan State from 1976–1980.

After three years as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, Mazzoleni embarked on a coaching career with stops at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Miami University and Harvard University. He had winning records at all three schools and has an overall college record of 302-207-43.

At Division III Stevens Point, Mazzoleni led his team to third consecutive nationals championships from 1989–1991. In 2012, he was named coach of the all-time WIAC hockey team. At Miami, he was selected as the CCHA coach of the year in 1997. In 2002 and 2004, Mazzoleni’s Harvard teams won the conference tournament.

He returned to Green Bay to coach the Green Bay Gamblers for four seasons and then joined the coaching staff at St. Norbert College.
