Mark Froehle

 

Froehle is a native of Thief River Falls, Minnesota and a graduate of Bemidji State University. After five years as an assistant coach at Bemidji High School, Froehle began a fourteen-year coaching career at Eau Claire Memorial High School starting in 1978. He compiled a 140-135-4 record and won three sectional championships. He was named conference Coach of the Year four times. He served as the athletic director at Eau Claire Memorial from 1998–2006. His efforts at the high school and youth levels have been instrumental in making Eau Claire a hockey town. Froehle passed away in the spring of 2016.
