Pinney Dittmann

 

Harold “Pinney” Dittmann grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin where he was an all round athlete in high school lettering in baseball and basketball. He won the city tennis championship and he played for the town baseball team for 17 years.

In high school he played for the city hockey team and then joined the Madison Cardinals and later the Rockton Cardinals. He became a leading scorer for the team and played on five of their state championship teams. At the time, he was one of the fastest skaters in the state. He also played on the Rockton Cardinals’ 1963 national championship team.
